When You Need A Helpful Resource For Home Projects

These days, it should be simple enough to find the information you need, but unfortunately that’s not always true. A Google search can bring up hundreds or thousands of options—that’s too many!

I have a few trusted bloggers that I follow—I can rely on the resources and advice they give—it’s worth a million bucks! Gone are the days of clicking into countless links hoping it might give me a helpful result.

But here’s the thing, I don’t think there’s such thing as too many reliable resources. And good news: Once you start accumulating some go-to-gurus, your list will grow exponentially.

So, how do I find these supposed reliable resources?

Here are some tips for finding under-the radar-experts:

  1. Who do you love following on social media platforms? That Twitter account that’s sharing great articles daily or the Instagram feed that is seemingly always radiating inspiration? Chances are they have a website too. Check it out, and if you like, subscribe to their emails—they’ll send ideas, articles, and inspiration straight to your inbox.

  2. Do you have folks you already trust and follow? Chances are, they’ve shared a few of their go-to-gurus, too! Everybody needs inspiration, so find out who’s behind the person you already trust—and wham, your resources will expand just like that.

  3. Search around. Whether you want to poke around via social platforms or Google, there’s so much stuff out there, and you can find a gem the old fashioned organic way. Don’t forget to save the resources and sites you like as you search.

My resource for you: Whether you are looking to improve your house or just want some specialty reading on how-to’s, The Journal of Light Construction is a great resource!
